(This post was originally shared ahead of Black Friday/ Cyber Monday but would work at any time of year!)
This Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2020—consider shopping sales at local businesses.
In this pre-pandemic survey, Canadians were expected to spend nearly $5 billion in Black Friday-related sale shopping. With 2020 being one of the most difficult years many business owners have ever faced, imagine what a cash injection like that could do for them—and for our local economies.
I’ve posted many different blogs over the years related to shopping local, so I thought I’d compile a few of them in this blog for easy reference, if your’e considering doing Black Friday shopping. Check out these 16 previous blogs I’ve written sharing Edmonton and area businesses and business owners—then check out their websites and social media accounts to see what deals they may be offering for Black Friday (weekend/Cyber Monday)!
The blog posts highlight local shops as well as restaurants and are listed in reverse chronological order.
And below that I’ve also listed a few great local shops that carry a lot of items from different local makers!
