Learn how to Dispose of a Body in Alberta (Majesty & Friends, 12024 107 Ave.)
OK the title of this really got my attention lol but this Oct. 15 event is NOT about how to get away with murder, it’s a ‘departure planning’ discussion on burials, cremations, and other things you need to know when dealing with dearly departed. Sounds like it will be an informative talk during spooky season (& Majesty & Friends is an awesome shop + venue!)

Food to Try This Week
Try the authentic Szechuan noodles from CQ Noodle (10140 104 St.)
Keren sent a note this week raving about the authentic Szechuan noodles from the new-ish CQ (Chongqing) Noodle in downtown Edmonton. I tried them when they first opened back in June and really enjoyed my “Chef Meat Noodle Soup!” I actually get a craving every once in awhile. Must return!
Welcome back Reinette Cafe & Patisserie (301 Woodvale Rd.)
Reinette Cafe & Patisserie’s Mill Woods location is back open! Consider popping in to grab some treats and welcome back this family-owned cafe.
Check out the newly reopened Italian Bakery (10644 97 St.)
Congratulations to the Italian Bakery on the reopening of their Chinatown location—42 months after a fire destroyed the building they are back bigger and better than ever, selling fresh pasta, produce, pizza, custom sandwiches, bread, pastries and more. I think it’s really cool they chose to invest in the rebuild + in the neighbourhood. My pal Sharon wrote about it here.
Slurp some Korean soup at H-MART (3803 Calgary Trail)
Popped into H-MART this week with my mom and we grabbed some Korean soup lunch at the ‘food court’ inside (DanJi and HamJiBak, plus a cafe with lots of sweet bread + pastries!) The restaurants inside the grocery store aren’t really advertised but they are really good. Loved my pork bone soup. Have fun browsing the aisles for Asian specialty ingredients too!
