Try a Glass of the Sask (and eats) from 20 local restaurants (various locations)
EPCOR’s Glass of the Sask campaign that celebrates eating, drinking and playing local in Edmonton is back for the summer. 20 local restaurants will be highlighting our city’s delicious tap water. It’s a great list of local spots you could plan to visit this summer! I’ll be partnering with EPCOR to do a restaurant gift card giveaway this week on my Instagram too—stay tuned!!
Celebrate National Burger Month (various locations)
May is National Burger Month, so if you have yet to partake, wrap up the month with a burger from a local burger joint. I am partial to Fox Burger, GRAVY Burger & Fries and Woodshed Burgers.
Try brunch at DOSC (10190 104 St.)
My friend and I had a nice brunch at DOSC this week where we tried their beer-braised brisket benny and veggie benny. Service was quick, food was good, and the space here is just so nice. We didn’t do cocktails but DOSC also has an excellent cocktail menu!

Giveaway! River Valley Alliance Swag
Did you know: The Edmonton area is home to the longest connected river valley pedestrian trail in North America—and it’s got a new name! This month the River Valley Alliance unveiled the new trail name as Amisko Wacîw Mêskanaw (ahmsk-wahCHEE oh MESS-kah-now or msk-wahCHEE oh MESS-kah-now) or Beaver Hill Road. I partnered with the River Valley Alliance to spread the word about the new name (read the caption). 75 km of the 100 km connected trail is completed in this multi-generational project that connects Devon in the south west all the way up to Fort Saskatchewan in the north east, through Edmonton (and a total of six regions in the area) along the North Saskatchewan River! 💛
To celebrate the name unveiling, in this week’s email newsletter I gave away a River Valley Alliance swag box to subscribers.
I regularly run newsletter-exclusive giveaways. It’s free to subscribe!
Also congratulations to Ali M., the winner of Gerry Dee comedy show tickets from last week’s email newsletter! Ali said she had a great time.

In case you need some advice on how to avoid/stop goose attacks lol.
Edmonton’s north east is getting a new park (and it’s big)!
What a waste of resources—a man has been charged after evading wildfire roadblock, getting stuck, then needing to be rescued by helicopter.
Things are so awful for women in Texas and just a reminder that its politicians who can pass laws around what women can do with their own bodies. Things like this can very much happen here in Alberta under UCP leadership.
