Get tickets to Soundtrack Music Festival!
Plan to kick off summer at the Soundtrack Music Festival taking place June 16-17 at Kinsmen Park in Edmonton! I’ve partnered with the Soundtrack Music Festival to spread the word about the festival that will feature the industry’s best top 40 acts from the 90s, 2000s, and today. The best part (beyond the nostalgia), is that all proceeds from Soundtrack Music Festival go directly to the Kinsmen Club of Edmonton which supports various local Edmonton charities. Have a good time for a good cause!
You can get 10% off Soundtrack Music Festival tickets using my code LINDORK.
Thanks Soundtrack Music Festival for supporting my small business with this partner message.

Check out Canada’s Best Restaurants in Edmonton (two locations)
The 2023 Canada’s Best Restaurants list has just been released and two excellent Edmonton eateries made the cut: Biera and RGE RD! I think these lists tend to leave a lot of amazing, hole in the wall-type of restaurants off the table in general, but I have wholeheartedly only had excellent meals at both Biera and RGE RD so, do recommend checking them out!! Extra shout out to super talented Chef Davina Moraiko, who currently works at Biera and had previously worked at RGE RD!
Try some Chinese food at Bai Wei Seafood Restaurant (16049 97 St.)
My family tried Bai Wei Seafood Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant in north Edmonton, for belated Mother’s Day! They have a pretty big menu, lots of options, including several Set Dinner / Combo options you can choose from. We went with a Six Item Set Dinner and added additional dishes to round it out for a table of nine (and ended up with lots of leftovers to take home too). if you order their Peking Duck, they slice the whole cooked duck table side!
Welcome new Latin American restaurant Sabor de los Andes (10985 127 St.)
There’s a new Latin American restaurant Sabor de los Andes that just opened in the Westmount area. It looks like they were a food truck first—so congrats on their physical location! Looks like they’ve got empanadas, ceviche, arepas, and more. Can’t wait to try!

From the Blog Vault
Around this time in 2020, I shared a recipe for Bánh Bao: Vietnamese Steamed Pork Buns! The translation of “bánh bao” is literally like a “treat bag” or a “wrapped treat”. In Vietnamese, bánh can be used to refer to any sort of treat (usually a dessert, but in this case a savoury treat) while “bao” is like a bag or wrapping, like a wrapped treat.

Did you hear the news? 19 pop-up dog parks are coming to Edmonton!
I was pretty disgusted with news of racist St. Albert residents and their awful comments submitted during the city’s renaming discussions.
Here are some health reminders as smoke from wildfires blankets much of the province. Stay safe!
In politics… Why prominent Alberta conservatives are supporting Rachel Notley’s NDP. Hint: it is entirely to do with not recognizing the ‘extreme radical’ party under Danielle Smith.
