Adulting can be hard. When it comes to finances, it can get even harder. Are you saving enough money from each pay check? Are you living pay check to pay check? Where do you even begin when it comes to investing your hard-earned money?
These can be tough questions but thankfully, you don’t have to answer them alone.
ATB Financial’s got your back!
They’re running a series of “How to Adult” sessions on a variety of topics aimed at helping you grow up (budgeting, investing, purchasing a home–the stuff everyone seems to magically know), with their first Edmonton event focused on “Investing.”
ATB Financial’s How to Adult: Investing
takes place Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017
from 6-9 p.m. at MKT Beer Market.
I’m excited to partner with ATB as host of this upcoming How to Adult: Investing event!
Come learn How to Adult with me!
The topic of investing has always been a bit scary and unapproachable for me. I’ve never tried sitting down with a financial planner to talk about it either, so to be able to learn how to properly invest, and have any investment questions answered by ATB’s financial experts, while eating snacks and having drinks, sounds pretty great to me.
I hope you’ll join me on Nov. 7 as we learn How to Adult / Invest together!
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online here.
OR, enter to win a pair of tickets below! (I’m giving away two pairs).
** GIVEAWAY **
Enter to win a pair of tickets to ATB Financial’s How to Adult: Investing by doing one or all of the following:

- Leave a comment below telling me what “grown-up” thing you excel at, and something you could work on (for example, I think I run a super organized household, but I have no idea about investing money!)
- Tag a friend in my Facebook post promoting the event!
- Follow me on Instagram for an additional contest entry (through my IG Stories!)
Good luck!

Im oblivious about finances but I’m strict on routine and my dog thinks I’m quite the ‘adult’
I’m good about adulting when it comes to keeping track of my crazy schedule and always being in the right place at the right time, but I pretty lax on adulting when it comes to investing/saving. (Should probably change that…)
I feel like I’m good at weathering the short term financial issues that come up with how we’ve saved small emergency funds for certain costs like a pet fund or house fund, but we haven’t started anything long term and I think learning about investing would help us feel more comfortable starting to do so.
I can do all 10 ballroom dances, but anytime it comes to investing it all just becomes a big jumble, even after going to a couple financial advisors!
Oh! A “grown-up” thing I’m proud of… managing time and schedule to learn and do those dances, amoung everyday work, other work, trying to have a social life, and sometimes eating and sleeping ;)
The most “grown-up” thing I excel doing is cooking my own meals but I would love to learn how to plan for my future!
Our drawing abilities aren’t too nice, but we are able to certainly assessment a telephone, which is strictly what we did.
I’m really good at budgeting/understanding cash flows but I really need help in investing and managing my porfolios!
I think I’m good at keeping to a routine but am not so good about investing!
