Food to Try This Week

Eats this week: Mocktails, breakfast bowls & and crullers, tasting menus & more!
  • Visit the A Taste for Life Fundraiser Restaurants TODAY (various)

    • On Wednesday, April 17 (TODAY) four Edmonton restaurants – Biera, The Common, Highlevel Diner and Otto, are donating a portion of the day’s sales (25%) to HIV Edmonton as part of an nationwide fundraising initiative. Great reason to try some of the delicious bites at these local eateries!

    • Note—email subscribers got a heads up about this time-sensitive event!

  • Get a free frozen treat on Thursdays at Cafe Bel-Air (8020 101 St.)

  • Check out The Butternut Tree’s new Tasting Menu (9707 110 St.)

    • The Butternut Tree has launched their new Tasting Menu and it looks really good. It’s 8 courses and there is a vegetarian option as well as wine pairing option as well. Everyone at the table must participate in the tasting menu.

  • Try the delicious comfort Korean food from NongBu Korean Eatery (8115 104 St.)

    • This week Diane recommends NongBu Korean Eatery for hitting all of her comfort food cravings with the transition into spring!

    • From Diane: “I love the fried ddukboki to start and ending with the honey butter ddukbokki (it’s not too sweet!) Budae jjigae is an all weather dish and a fave—I feel like they are one of the few places that has beans in it, which adds a little extra something something.”

  • Get a sneak peek of Edmonton’s first and only mocktail bar (11909 Jasper Ave.)

  • Go for brunch at Rosewood Foods (10150 100 St.)

    • Do you know where to find the BEST crullers in Edmonton? That would be at Rosewood Foods downtown! Where you can also find some of the best breakfast, brunch and lunch in town. We had such a great breakfast there this week, you can pre-order food online for pickup or grab a seat and dine in this bustling little corner of Rice Howard Way.

  • Check out a few new-ish cafes in the city (various locations)
