Today’s Photo of the Day shows me with Julie Matthews the Global Trouble Shooter! :) While I worked on Montreal shows four of my five days of the week at Global, on Wednesdays I would help Julie out in her department. The Trouble Shooter department gets hundreds of calls and emails every day (seriously!) so as you can imagine, you can really get behind in it all so my weekly duties included clearing the voicemail, returning calls, setting up interviews, doing research for stories and helping resolve problems that don’t end up being stories that run on air.

Trouble shooting is definitely not for everyone! Some days were super repetitive, some days you feel bad because you talk to people with problems that you really just can’t help (but you wish you could), but for the most part it was very rewarding. :) It’s great work and life experience and I had a blast working with Julie! She is one of many co-workers I’ll miss as I prepare to leave Global. (I got a job at CTV – blog post about that to come). Thanks for all of your wonderful guidance over the past year, Julie!
