Food to Try This Week

Eats this week: Sushi + KBBQ, Chinatown Dining Week, fried chicken & more!
  • Experience Chinatown Dining Week (various locations)

  • Celebrate Careit Deli’s 15-year anniversary! (9672 142 St.)

  • Go for fried chicken at Northern Chicken (10184 104 St.)

  • Try Tatsu—the latest All You Can Eat Sushi + KBBQ spot (10163 109 St.)

    • Tatsu Sushi and BBQ is the newest All You Can Eat Sushi entry in the city. There is no per person limit on sashimi where, and they also offer Korean BBQ, both of which sets it apart from other AYCE spots! We really enjoyed our meal. Good nigiri options (including chop chop / toro). Their rolls are quite tasty (try the two mango roll options!) Tatsu has dessert buns, taiyaki, and green tea matcha ice cream included in your all you can eat price too. I liked their phone/online ordering system (paperless feels good)—and servers were pretty accommodating / knowledgable about what items were gluten-free for my celiac friend (including the seared salmon, beef or saba—just note gluten-free so they avoid adding sauce to it). At $40/per person, this is very good all you can eat value / variety / quality! The main ‘con’ for dining here was that it’s for some reason very chilly inside the building. It’s quite a large space, there’s tons of seating closer to the kitchen, but we were in the stretch of booths right by the window and door facing 109 Street so we were quite cold there lol. Reservations are recommended so you avoid a wait, but you do need a minimum party of five people to make a reservation! Enjoy!!
