Q&A with Dr. Heather Young-Leslie
Every other Sunday, I profile a new “interesting person” in a Q&A series just for paid newsletter subscribers.
The next person I’ll be profiling this Sunday, Sept 10, 2023 is Researcher and Co-Founder of Edmonton’s Fancy Women Bike Ride, Dr. Heather Young-Leslie.
The next Fancy Women Bike Ride in Edmonton is Sunday, Sept. 17! Free to sign up.
Here’s an except from the Q&A:
“People tend to think “cyclists” are on a bicycle for sport or recreation. We make jokes about media describing someone as an “avid cyclist” (but never refer to someone as an “avid driver”). But in reality, a ‘cyclist’ is just a person using a bicycle.”
– Dr. Heather Young-Leslie
