This Sunday: Q&A with Emilie Iggiotti

Every other Sunday (ish lol), I profile a new “interesting person” in a Q&A series just for paid newsletter subscribers.

The next person I’ll be profiling this Sunday, October 9, 2022 is Edmonton portrait and branding photographer Emilie Iggiotti.

My Q&A with Emilie Iggiotti goes out first to paid newsletter subscribers on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2022.

Here’s an excerpt from our Q&A:

“Self-love is what I have been struggling with my entire life, so I want to share with people what I learned about self-love, self-worth and maybe help them love themselves a little more. Photography has played a huge role as a way to empower myself. When I felt like I did not know who I was, I stepped in front of the camera embodying the person I wanted to be or the person I wanted to remember before society told me who I was. I wanted to empower people through photography the way photography empowered me.”
– Emilie Iggiotti

Small Business Spotlight

Have you heard of Bosom Babies? They are a local, woman-owned boutique focused on products for mom and baby! From owner Marcela: “Our focus has always been to help parents during those first early months with baby. Our store has been around for over 20 years and we specialize in breastfeeding supplies, cloth diapers and baby essentials, but we also carry a lot of apparel and gifts.” The store recently moved to the High Street (12547 102 Ave.) in the hopes to get more foot traffic.

Around this time in 2020, I had partnered with the Town of Stony Plain to share ideas for things to do (like, surprisingly, a lot of boutique shopping and vintage stores!) and places to eat when you visit! Stony Plain is located about 40 mins west of Edmonton.
