Introducing Monthly Social Media Training Sessions

I’m excited to announce that this year I’m finally going to be offering regular (monthly) virtual social media training sessions!

Delivering social media training has been a big part of my work over the years. I’ve taught social media concepts and presented for hundreds of people across various industries in public, private and non-profit sectors, on topics ranging from social media impact and opportunities, developing content, best practices and influencer marketing strategies, to hands-on, how-to specific to platforms, and more, in one-on-one, private group or conference settings. All of my training sessions have received 100% “satisfied” or “very satisfied” feedback. I’m also a part-time instructor for the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Extension Social Media Certificate Program.

I’ve considered offering virtual training sessions for some time now (thought more seriously about it during the pandemic), and am excited to finally do it! This 2021, I’ll be offering regular virtual training sessions on a variety of social media-related topics. There will be limited spots per session (intimate!) but if you missed getting into one, the beauty is you can register for the same session offered the following month! Offering training in this format for certain social media topics will be a cost-effective option for small business owners, entrepreneurs or those working in non-profit.

I’m kicking off my regular social media training with a session and topic I’m very passionate about: What business owners should know about influencer marketing before they start working with influencers. (Additional monthly session dates and topics will be added throughout the year).

Working with Influencers: What Your Business Needs To Know To Get Started (And Do It Right)

Linda Hoang Digital Corp Training Sessions - Working with Influencers - Influencer Marketing

You see sponsored posts on social media promoting other brands and businesses, social media influencers helping sell products or services. You’re wondering whether working with influencers could help your business too. But how do you get started? Should you even do it? If you do, how do you make sure you’re doing it right? How do you find influencers to work with? How do you get them to work with you? How do you ensure the partnership is professional and ethical and how will you know if the work—worked?!

This is a one-hour virtual session, offered once per month, where I’ll help business owners determine how to most effectively and ethically work with influencers—or if they even should.

Free Spots for Marginalized Groups

As a way to help uplift and support professionals in marginalized groups such as BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+, or those with low income who may not have access or funds for training, I’m providing one spot free per training session. Just send me an email to let me know which training sessions you’d like to attend and how it can help you in your line of work. If the free spots are already claimed for specific dates, I’ll add you to the next available dates.

If you’d like to support this initiative, you can also contact me about sponsoring extra seats so I can offer more spots for those in marginalized groups.

  • UPDATE: Thank you to sponsor Kick Point for supporting this initiative and allowing me to offer even more free spots!

As mentioned, additional monthly session dates and topics will be added throughout the year.

You can check my Social Media Training page for updates.

And you can always send me an email if you have any questions, a request for a training session topic, or want to hire me for a more in-depth, customized group or one-or-one training session!
