Thank you!!!
It is truly such an honour to be included in this year’s Edify Edmonton Top 40 Under 40 Class of 2021, joining an incredible group of people doing important work in the community.
I’ve been nominated in years past, but it never went anywhere, so it was such a nice surprise to receive the recognition this year for my efforts supporting the community during the pandemic.
I wanted to make sure I captured some of the photos and write-ups related to the award on my blog.
From Edify:
“This year’s class features community leaders, health-care providers, inventors, tech wizards and those who give countless hours to make Edmonton a better place to live. These people contribute to our city’s fabric, and help put this city on the map both nationally and internationally.”
I am so grateful for each and everyone of YOU who support the community building work I love to do. From helping small businesses through projects like #AdoptAShopYEG or helping cats and rescues via the Edmonton International Cat Festival, working on anti-racism initiatives and changing the stigma around infertility, or just simply exploring and encouraging you to do the same—this stuff is only impactful because you’re excited about it too.
Thanks to everyone who reads, watches, engages, acts—helps me do what I love!
Thank you to my alma maters MacEwan University and NAIT for sharing lovely write-ups about the recognition. You can read them at the links below:
I don’t really think my parents know what I do exactly but I think they were proud of this!
I’m glad my family could come celebrate at the award ceremony this November 2021 as well.

Thank you again to those who nominated me—this year and in previous—and to everyone who reads this blog, watches my videos, engages with my posts, and supports the different community initiatives I’m involved in. I love this community and I am so grateful you’re in it!!
