I think most would agree that the best events are ones with great food.
If you make that food local, have proceeds go to charity, and host the party in a cool venue then you’ve really got yourself a great event!
That’s what we can expect on Sept. 22 at Lexus South Pointe‘s Fall Food Festival!
The event features food from a bunch of great local chefs and supports a great cause: YWCA Edmonton‘s domestic violence prevention and recovery program.
Lexus South Pointe reached out to see if I was interested in helping promote their first fall food festival and I happily obliged.

This is how the event will work:
- Show up! It’s from 6 – 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 at 830 100 St SW.
- Be given 5 free food tickets
- Choose to buy more free food tickets (with proceeds supporting the YWCA)
- Visit different booths and redeem your tickets for glorious food!

- The Almanac
- Get Cooking
- The Local Omnivore
- Effing Rob Seafood
- JACEK Chocolates
- Earls (South Common)
It’ll be a great, delicious event showcasing some of our city’s fine chefs and all for a great cause!

Lexus South Pointe is always trying to be involved in the community and I think they really put it best when they told me ‘what brings people together better than great food?’
They plan on making the Fall Food Festival an annual event and something I didn’t know: I guess Lexus South Pointe regularly hosts other events throughout the year too – most of them free of charge with free food.
To help drum up some awareness for the festival, I’m giving away 20 Lexus South Pointe food tickets and a bottle of wine (which will be redeemed at the event).

This food festival sounds like its going to be a great time! I’m excited about all the restaurants that are going to be there, but most excited to try food from Ampersand 27 and Effing Robb Seafood.
