Explore Edmonton using their trio of FREE digital passes to access freebies and other discounts at dozens of Edmonton businesses!
Last summer (2020), Explore Edmonton released a Brewery Pass as an incentive program to support local breweries amidst the pandemic. The free pass encouraged you to visit 10 Edmonton area breweries by offering freebies and discounts at each location.
It was a super easy way to explore the city, try some new brews, and support local businesses (I partnered with them at that time to blog about the passes here).
Since then, Explore Edmonton has released a few more discount passes including a Downtown Dining Pass and most recently, an Old Strathcona Pass with the same idea!
Just sign up for the free pass, add it to your phone, and get quick and easy access to discounts at dozens of local businesses!

The passes are easy to use:
- Browse the dozens of participating businesses for each pass
- Pick one, or two, a few, or all of them, to visit (choose based on what discount you want, or what new place you want to try, or old fav you want to return to)
- Show up to the business and let them know you’ve got a pass
- Order your food and drinks
- Apply the discount and enjoy!
IT’S SUPER EASY to save money when you go out and it’s really handy to have a list of local spots to visit in the back of your pocket (er, phone!!)
I am a big fan of food or drink crawls so these passes are right up my alley in that respect, as it sort of gives you a built in list of spots to “crawl” around town.
Mike and I recently visited a couple spots for each of the passes.
