I worked with Tourism Lethbridge this summer to explore and share recommendations for what you might want to check out when you visit Lethbridge—the third largest city in Alberta—and part of my exploration included following suggestions in this new app! It makes exploring the city really easy.

#ExploreLethbridge – Use this Tourism Lethbridge App to Help Explore the Southern Alberta City!
WHAT IS IT?
The Explore Lethbridge App is a FREE app with select local attractions, shops, and restaurants that gives you quick ideas and details about some of the city’s must-visit spots, allows you to ‘check-in’ to spots you visit to build up points for prizes, and easily access an events calendar to know what’s happening in the city.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
The Explore Lethbridge app makes self-guided itinerary planning and exploration of the city really easy. For its launch, the app includes a ‘Sip Taste Explore’ self-guided tour of suggestions featuring 21 possible stops that focus on the flavours, culture and landscapes of this southern Alberta city.
It will eventually expand to house different categories of experiences or tours you can try and ultimately act as a quick click to find a curated list of businesses worth checking out in the city.
While you can access the suggested stops in the app for free, if you create a free account and allow it to use your location while the app is open, you’ll also be able to ‘check in’ to different stops you visit to redeem points that can get you fun Lethbridge swag or gift cards to use at participating businesses or attractions!
The Explore Lethbridge App gamifies your tourism experience in the city. Some locations also include trivia questions about the city—encouraging you to learn more as a way to earn more points.
I say app but it’s easily accessible through your phone’s Internet browser (no downloading required), and also gives you the option to add it as a shortcut icon on your home screen so you can open it as you would an app.
WHO IS IT FOR?
This resource is really great for tourists like you and me, or locals being a tourist in their city (one of my favourite things to do!)
The new Explore Lethbridge app helps anyone looking for easy ideas to explore local attractions, hidden gems and unique businesses, and perhaps wants to turn their exploration into a bit of a self-guided challenge to see how many spots you can get to—and points you can redeem.
HERE’S AN EXAMPLE ITINERARY I CAME UP WITH USING SELECTED LOCATIONS FEATURED IN THE NEW EXPLORE LETHBRIDGE APP!

Looks like a pretty great itinerary, right? And it was so easy to come up with, simply pulling from the Explore Lethbridge App. Plus with the points redemption + rewards aspect of the app, this itinerary could reward you up to 100 points, which you could then redeem for posters, stickers, pens, totes, or bigger ticket items like gift cards and water bottles!
I love that Tourism Lethbridge is offering this fun way for visitors (or tourists in their town) to explore! Have fun with this when you visit!
