This summer I had the pleasure of working with Edmonton Tourism on their “You Think You Know Edmonton?” video/commercial series. When I went to What the Truck (food truck festival) at Northlands Park in early July, I was filmed sharing some of the things I love about food trucks (and What the Truck) in the city.
It’s just under a minute (and there are 30 second and 15 second versions being floated around too!) Watch the video on Edmonton Tourism’s Facebook Page here (or click the image/post below).

To paraphrase a bit, I love how the food truck scene has exploded in Edmonton over the last few years. It’s incredible that there were just 7 food trucks when What the Truck first started and now there are over 70 food trucks in Edmonton! I love going to What the Truck because it’s such a great way to get to a bunch of your favourite food trucks – and try a bunch of new ones – all in one go. So many of these trucks can be scattered on a normal day – What the Truck gives you that convenience (one stop shop) kind of feel. It’s also incredible the wide range of food truck offerings there are now. The food truck culture here is so large that we’re really on the map in Canada – Edmonton is one of the biggest players in Canada’s food truck scene. Eating from a food truck, and attending events like What the Truck, to me, are so very ‘Edmonton’. I also love the people watching :-)
It was great working with the team from Cineflair (they shot and edited together such a great video! I love the aesthetic) and Edmonton Tourism on this project! Be sure to watch for some of the other ‘You Think You Know Edmonton?’ videos in their series! Watch for it on the Edmonton Tourism Facebook and Twitter, and on TV! What the Truck will also be announcing their next event soon!
Thank you Edmonton Tourism, for letting me be a part of this fun project! I love Edmonton :)
