The #EIAGreatJetaway!

2015 was an amazing travel year for Mike and I! We went to Florida (Disney World/Universal Studios), Portland, Las Vegas, and Japan (plus mini trips to Banff, Jasper, and Calgary – whew).

Circumstances this past year just had it so that we were able to do these great trips (we fit into that “dual income, no kids” bracket which is helpful), but I know not everyone has had similar travel opportunities and with the way the dollar is, plus our general economy, traveling may be difficult this year (for Mike & I, plus everyone else!)

That’s why I’m thrilled to participate in the EIA Great Jetaway!

The Edmonton International Airport is offering a trip of a lifetime (valued at $10,000!!) – to someone nominated in their new #EIAGreatJetaway campaign!

Here’s how it works:

1. Nominate. Create a 15-second video or upload a photo sharing who you think deserves a trip of a lifetime, where their dream will take them, and why.’
2. Challenge. In the video or photo (and on social), tag three friends to nominate someone special in their lives for the EIA Great Jetaway!
3. Share. Post the video or photo on Twitter or Instagram tagging #EIAGreatJetaway.

That’s it!

The beauty of the #EIAGreatJetaway is first of all that it’s not about you and where you would love to go, instead it gets you thinking about the people in your lives and who you think deserves to jetaway to their dream destination.

Tagging or nominating others to do their own videos spreads the love even further.

So here’s someone special in my life who I think deserves the #EIAGreatJetaway, plus the three people I challenge to nominate someone special in their lives for this trip of a lifetime!

I am nominating my big brother Tin who deserves an awesome (and paid for) family trip with his wife and two kids – my niece and nephew Zoe and Hugo who I love to pieces. My brother and sister-in-law will do just about anything for their young kids but family trips can be a challenge.

I would love to take away some of that financial stress and gift them a dream trip through the #EIAGreatJetaway! I think jetting away to an all-inclusive beach resort would be fantastic – Mexico, Dominican Republic, maybe Cuba? Or crossing the pond to Europe – London, Paris, Italy?

Wherever it is, simply getting all four of them to the destination can be expensive enough to keep them grounded,  so I hope the #EIAGreatJetaway can get them on their way!

The top five finalists will be chosen end of February, and a winner announced in early March.
