This year I am so lucky to attend the 3rd Annual Social Media for PR and Corporate Communications Conference put on by Ragan Communications!
The line-up of sessions and speakers is phenomenal and the added bonus: it’s located in beautiful Walt Disney World!
Mike and I arrived on Saturday to vacation before the conference began today (Wednesday). Watch for a separate blog post later on about our trip and tips/experience doing Disney Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios (+ Harry Potter World!!!)
In the meantime, I wanted to use this space to recap all of the great social media and communications information I’m absorbing at the conference! I updated this post as the conference went on so please, check out all the great information on infographics, storytelling, crisis communications, brand journalism, content marketing, social brand ambassadors, internal video, visual content and more!
I was live tweeting throughout the sessions (I see it as an excellent and very public form of note taking!) and you can find all of those tweets/notes in the links below! I chained my tweets so all tweets for a particular session should show up in the one handy link of the original tweet! (Well, for the most part. Some tweets aren’t showing up for some reason).
I also plan on putting together a Storify of some of the information I missed but was tweeted from other awesome conference goers but my Storify is being finicky so I’ll get to that when it starts cooperating again! (Come back here for that link!)
Ragan sure knows how to put on fantastic conferences jam packed full of actionable, interesting information from very engaging speakers. I am truly inspired and hope to bring this knowledge back to inspire my teammates at NAIT and use it personally too. I am so grateful that the company I work for values professional development!
