Giveaway: Edmonton Home + Garden Show tickets!

Edmonton Home + Garden Show

The Edmonton Home + Garden Show takes place March 21 – 24 and I’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away – yay! This is my first blog giveaway and I’m basically copying the format from the wonderful Chris Falconer of Eating is the Hard Part.

So!

All you have to do for a chance to win a pair of tickets is leave a comment below telling me the most craftiest thing you’ve ever made! I’ll use a random winner-generating tool from the Interwebz to pick two winners from those who have left comments.

The contest will close on Friday, March 15, 2013.

The only other thing I request is that while you’re at the show, stop by the Pallet Challenge area and check out the pallet creations myself, Erin Isfeld, J’Lyn Nye, Jonny Sullivan, Crash (of Crash & Mars) and Jerry (you may know him as Bacon Guy) made! You can also BID on any of the creations (nudge, nudge, MINE!) in a silent auction while you’re there for a chance to take home one of the pieces. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to support the Ronald McDonald House Northern Alberta!

Fun right.

I took an old pair of faded Toms and covered them with fabric to give them new personality/new life

  • Ooh, how fun! I would love to come and see your beautiful pallet creation. Pick me, Linda! :)

  • LOL, and I forgot to tell you about my craftiest creation. It would have to be the wreathe I made for my mom this past Christmas. I had to use a hot glue gun and everything. Trust me when I tell you that it was a bit of a nailbiter. :O

I made a cat door out of a milk chute and a 8 foot log. You just can not get craftier than that. ;)

  • Laurie says:

I suppose the craftiest thing I’ve ever made are my knitting and sewing projects, if those count! My next big project is going to be a container veggie garden this spring.

  • Ashley Skrocki says:

I’ve made quite a few items that are crafty, leather belts, pendants, earrings, leather masks, hand carved leather books, rings etc

Garden border out of empty wine bottles.

Well….I’m definitely not a crafter but every year my daughter and I do different things for valentines gifts. We have done bracelets, foam cards, stamping, origami…all sorts of stuff. My boys always went back to the store bought batman and Spider-Man cards; but my girl and I find these projects together and go wild.

  • Amy Moreau says:

The most craftiest thing I ever made was a vest made out of vintage ties!!

  • David Dawkins says:

You invited me twice. Can I enter twice? I made a tinfoil ball and taught a couple of my cats to play fetch. :)

  • Susan wright says:

Craftiest thing … Sustainable a cold frame for tomatoes

  • Steffi says:

Most crafty thing I ever made, Star Wars amigurumi figures!

  • Beverly says:

Shoe cabinet / storage out of leftover wood!

There have been some pretty epic Halloween costumes in years past, but probably the craftiest would be my ‘what happens to the lost socks from the dryer’ monster costume. I took alllll the widowed socks collected from years at my parents’, and stitched/layered (in some cases, glued) them to a large mens shirt and baseball cap, all to resemble a large pile of socks. With some old dolls googly eyes glued in, and mismatched socks over my hands, it was quite a well recieved costume! (and warm enough for Alberta weather in October!)

Congratulations Beverly and Megan Brown! You two have won tickets to the Edmonton Home + Garden Show! :) I’ve sent you emails with more details. Thanks everyone for participating!!
