A few years ago I made a social media frame costume that I’ve been updating each year to reflect a current social network at the time. A couple years ago I was Instagram (see that costume here), last year I was a Snapchat filter (see that costume here), and this year (after a great suggestion from my pal @ChrisHenderson) I decided to go as…
VINE. DEAD VINE.
On Jan. 17, 2017, after just a few short years, Vine, Twitter’s six-second looping video app, came to an end. It devastated a lot of the Internet. Many around the world held 6 seconds of silence in honour of the app.
My tribute is this Halloween costume.
May you Rest in Peace, Vine.
Feel free to replicate this costume yourself.
Update and get this .PSD file printed on a 24×36 matte poster mounted on foam core!
Careful when you’re cutting out the middle of the frame (I think I’d actually make the inside cut a bit smaller so there’s more to hold on the sides- otherwise it can start getting a bit flimsy!)
Also, be sure to apply dead-person make-up. I’m really bad at make-up so my application definitely could’ve been better. Alternatively, you could use a lot of greens on your face too.
Happy Halloween!
Linda
